Georgiana has practiced family law in Colorado since 1994, adding Collaborative practice in 2004. Georgiana is a trained and experienced mediator.  Prior to her career as an attorney, Georgiana worked as a paralegal and legal secretary, becoming familiar with all aspects of the court system.

Community Service

While in law school, Georgiana conducted a weekly legal clinic for battered women at the Longmont Coalition for Women in Crisis. She has served as a Victim’s Advocate for the Boulder County Safehouse. Ms. Scott served on the Board of Directors for Creative Mountain, Inc., a Colorado non-profit corporation established to provide support to at-risk children (1995-1999).  Ms. Scott served on the Board of Directors of the Institute of Taoist Education and Acupuncture (1996-2000). She was Marketing Director for Thistle Community Housing, Boulder County’s largest provider of low-income housing (1998-1999). Ms. Scott served on the Board of Directors of Access Counseling in Boulder, Colorado, which provides early intervention psychological counseling to Boulder County residents, regardless of their ability to pay (2002-2006).

Georgiana took her undergraduate degree at the University of Colorado at Boulder, graduating Cum Laude with a degree in Environmental Conservation in 1985. She was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa in 1984. Ms. Scott attended law school at the University of Colorado at Boulder, graduating in 1990.
