Founder of Rocky Mountain Business Valuation (RMBV), Marty Wisott is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA). Marty has over twenty years of experience as a respected business valuation professional, neutral expert, expert witness, and transaction advisor. Marty has performed and reviewed over 1,000 valuations for size from small, privately-held businesses to multinational corporations, across a wide-array of industries. His services include the valuation of operating companies, intangible assets, debt instruments, equity with complex capital structures, and derivative instruments.
Marty has presented to industry trade groups, bankers, accountants, and attorneys regarding valuation issues related to family and collaborative law, estate and gift tax planning, financial reporting, and owner succession. He is an active member within numerous trade associations including: the American Society of Appraisers (ASA), the Colorado Bar Association (COBAR), the International Association of Collaborative Professionals (IACP), and the CFA Society of Colorado. Prior to establishing RMBV, Marty was a Director at Quist Valuation in Boulder, Colorado, and, before that, a Director at BDO Seidman, LLP. He holds a MBA in Finance from the University of Iowa, a Juris Doctorate (with distinction) from the University of Iowa’s College of Law, and a Bachelor degree in Business Administration in Marketing from Colorado State University. Marty is a trained mediator and collaborative law professional and earned the Certified Divorce Financial Analyst designation (CDFA).
